Professional journalist with over 28 years of experience and currently the director of the Communication and Financial Education Department of ASF. Editorial director of the magazine of economic opinions, studies and analyses “Economistul”, he was editorial director of the daily “Jurnalul” and of the website www.clubeconomic.ro. He made the series of economic-financial education programs „Jurnalul de Economie” on Antena 3. He was the first editor-in-chief and then development director, executive director and general manager of The Money Channel television station (2006-2012). He was the initiator and made the series of ProfitLive shows and the “Back in Business with Daniel Apostol” broadcast debates by Profit.ro TV.

Alina Popa graduated from Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies, Faculty of Accounting and Information Systems and is a member of ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants). She started her career at Deloitte Audit Romania. Alina Popa joined OMV Petrom in 2006 and has held leadership positions in finance functions, coordinating important projects in the financial field. Between 2015 and 2019, she has been the General Manager and President of the Board of Directors of OMV Petrom Global Solutions, the Shared Service Center of OMV Group.
She was appointed Chief Financial Officer and member of the OMV Petrom Executive Board as of April 17, 2019.
Dr Gerrit Fey, Head of Capital Markets Department at Deutsches Aktieninstitut & Co-Head of the Capital Markets Union working group at EuropeanIssuers
As Head of the Capital Markets Department at Deutsches Aktieninstitut Gerrit Fey analyses and comments on transparency and compliance obligations of listed companies as well as the impact of capital market rules on the availability of instruments for management of companies’ interest-rate, exchange and commodity price risks. Among other initiatives he has covered the EU Transparency Directive, the EU Market Abuse Regulation and the Capital Markets Union project.
Eugen Comendant has been Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Group starting June 2019. Mr. Comendant has over 10 years management experience in Western Europe and Middle East. Previously held positions were Marketing and Sales Director with Virgin Mobile Middle East and Africa based in Oman, and European Director of Mobile & Triple-Play division with ACN Europe based in the Netherlands. Mr. Comendant is a Dutch national, holds a BBA degree from HES Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, and speaks English, Romanian, French, Russian and Dutch.
Adina Ardeleanu, membru fondator FinancialIntelligence.ro, are o experiență de peste 12 ani în jurnalism economic. Ea a debutat, în 2006. De-a lungul carierei, Adina a fost premiată pentru articolele dedicate pieței de capital, atât de Asociația Brokerilor din România, cât și de Bursa de Valori din Polonia. Absolventă de ASE, Adina a urmat cursuri de jurnalism economic ținute de Thomson Reuters, la Londra și Frankfurt, dar și de The Fund for American Studies (TFAS), la Praga.
Tatyana Panova is the Head of the Capital Markets Union Unit in DG FISMA. Prior to this, Tatyana headed another unit in DG FISMA and served in the private office of Vice-President Valdis Dombrovskis where she was responsible for Capital Markets Union, securities markets, asset management, insurance, free movement of capital and competition. Before joining the Cabinet, Tatyana was a Deputy Head of the Securities Unit in DG FISMA. In her previous jobs, Tatyana coordinated the preparation of ECOFIN, COREPER II and Economic and Financial Committee in DG MARKT and managed aviation anti-trust cases in DG COMP. Tatyana is a trained economist with specialisation in financial services.
John was the General Manager and an executive director of the Board of the UK’s Investor Relations (IR) Society from 2012 to 2018. On joining the IR Society, which works in partnership with other IR associations, including MEIRA, John led IR training for the International Certificate in IR (ICIR) in Chile, Indonesia, Japan, Nigeria, Singapore, Thailand, Turkey and the UK, as well as for the Certified IR Officer (CIRO) in the Middle East. From 2016 to 2018, John lectured at the University of Liverpool in London on the MSc in Strategic Communication programme for the IR module which he created. In 2018, John was awarded an Honorary Fellowship of the UK’s IR Society in recognition of his services to IR.
Prior to this, John spent 11 years at the Singapore Exchange where he was Senior Vice President and responsible for investor relations, among other roles in corporate strategy and communications. He established and ran the IR Professionals Association of Singapore from 2006 to 2008, is a multiple IR award winner and he created and taught an IR course at the Singapore Management University from 2009 to 2012.
John was trained as a banker. He spent 15 years in Asia and Europe in corporate finance and equity capital markets. He worked for Barclays Bank as International Manager, Hoare Govett Asia as Senior Manager and Head of Corporate Finance, ABN Amro Rothschild as Assistant Director – Equity Capital Markets, Asia and at BNP Paribas as Director – Equity Capital Markets, Asia and Australasia.
John has a BA (Hons) degree, Diplomas in Banking (ACIB) and Marketing (ACIM) and MBA degree. John has lived and worked in Dubai, Geneva, Hong Kong, Jakarta, London and Singapore.
Javier Manzanares is the Deputy Executive Director at the Green Climate Fund (GCF) based in Incheon, Republic of Korea. He previously served as GCF’s Chief Financial Officer and Director of Support Services, when he joined the Fund in 2014. GCF is a new multilateral fund created to make significant and ambitious contribution to the global efforts towards attaining the goals set by the international community to combat climate change. GCF seeks to promote the paradigm shift towards low-emission and climate-resilient development pathways by providing support to developing countries to limit or reduce greenhouse gas emissions and to adapt to the impacts of climate change.
Prior to that, he was Director and Representative of UNOPS in the MERCOSUR region, based in Argentina. He was formerly Division Manager of Investment and Development Banking at the Central American Bank for Economic Integration. Javier also worked as the Executive VP for two privately held banks of Grupo Fierro. His career in banking and finance began with Banco Santander/BSCH in the United States, Hong Kong and Japan.
Javier holds a dual MBA from Northwestern University / Kellogg (USA), an EMBA from Hong Kong University of Sciences & Technology (China) and is currently a Ph.D. candidate at INHA University in South Korea.

Marian Năstase is the Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Remuneration & Nominations Committee within ALRO, one of the largest vertically integrated aluminium
producers in Europe, measured by production capacity.
Marian Năstase graduated from the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest where he majored in foreign trade. Mr. Năstase has extensive experience in financial consulting and audit.
He has worked at Deloitte & Touche in Romania, amongst other financial services firms.

The Romanian entrepreneur Corneliu Bodea is a shareholder of the international ABBC Group and CEO
of Adrem. A brand with over 25 years of history on the Romanian market, Adrem consists of companies
active in the energy industry. Corneliu extended his engineering education with management studies
and an MBA from the Open University, UK.
Since 2014, Corneliu Bodea was elected President of the Romanian Energy Center (CRE), a non-
governmental organization which activates in the energy industry, effective both in Romania and
Brussels. CRE represents the interests of the main stakeholders on the Romanian energy market and
facilitates communication with their corresponding European interlocutors, while also providing an
European platform for dialogue for the energy industry.

employees, Corneliu is very committed to supporting and contributing to all initiatives that foster the
Romanian entrepreneurial environment. He believes that vision, alongside long-term strategic thinking
and expertise determines business and social success.
Daniela Șerban has driven the project to set up the Romanian Investor Relations Association (ARIR) and is currently the ARIR President. She is a financial and communications professional with experience in consultancy, financial institutions and media. Since 2010, during 7 years at the national stock exchange, she represented the Romanian capital markets in front of foreign investors around the world and led some of the largest financial education campaigns. Shifting from the finance and consultancy world to the NGOs world in 2018, she has driven and supported numerous other initiatives and causes in areas of transparency and corporate governance, circular economy and children with special needs. She has a BA in Finance, a Master in Corporate Finance and is a PhD student and lecturer of Financial Markets at the Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies.
Adrian Tănase is currently the CEO of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, a position he has occupied since January 2018 and has a career of over 20 years in equity portfolio management. Prior to taking up this position, Adrian was the Chief Investment Officer for 5 years at NN Pensii, the largest Romanian private pension fund, and CEO at ING Asset Management, Bucharest Branch for 2 years. He is a member of the CFA Institute since 2009.
Amani Korayeim is the All-EMEA Director for Sales and Product Development of lnstitutional lnvestor and Extel Research. She oversees key client relationships, strategic partnerships and the launch of new research products as well as the expansion into new markets. She works closely with IR and executive management teams, running capability assessment workshops to help inform and drive IR outreach strategies. Amani has spent the last 8 years in the IR space and speaks regularly at IR society events focused on global trends in IR, outreach optimisation and the impact of new regulations. She obtained the Certificate of Investor Relations (CIR) from the UKIRS and graduated from the University of London with a BSc in Economics & Politics.
Alexandru Stânean joined the TeraPlast Team in 2007, occupying, over time, different positions within the TeraPlast Group, such as Deputy General Manager, Director of Operations, in charge of external development. In 2008, he was part of the team responsible for TeraPlast’s IPO. Currently, Mr. Stânean is Chief Executive Officer of TeraPlast, in his second term.
Narcisa Oprea is Partner at Schoenherr Bucharest, where she heads the Capital Markets Group since 2008, when she joined the firm. Previously, she was Head of Legal at the Bucharest Stock Exchange and coordinated the capital markets practice at a Romanian law firm. In her +20 years of experience, Narcisa advised on some of the largest equity and debt capital markets projects in Romania. Narcisa has had a significant contribution to changing the local capital markets legal framework so that it is better aligned with international standards. She also contributed to the OECD White Paper on Corporate Governance in South East Europe and acted as OECD rapporteur on implementation of the OECD Corporate Governance Principles in Romania.
Corina Popescu is a top executive with an impressive experience in the field of electricity and natural gas. Starting with 1 February 2019, Corina Popescu is the CEO of Electrica, after holding the interim position as CEO of the company and after being the CEO of Societatea de Distribuție a Energiei Electrice Muntenia Nord, part of Electrica Group. Since 2007, Corina Popescu has worked in the private sector, holding important positions in E.ON Romania Group and OMV Group.
Additionally, between December 2015 and February 2017, Corina Popescu held the position of State Secretary within the Ministry of Energy, period during which she was also a member of Electrica’s Board of Directors. Starting with 1 May 2017, she was appointed in Transelectrica’s Directorate, and during June 2017 – April 2018 she was Transelectrica’s Directorate President.
Andreia is leading the South Eastern European office of the largest and fastest growing international business and accountancy association. She established the office in March 2006, in Bucharest and is now responsible for ACCA’s activities in Romania, Bulgaria, Albania, Macedonia and Moldova. Her previous position was with the Body of Expert and Licensed Accountants of Romania, as Manager of the International Relations Department. Olivier joined Invoke Software in 2010 as a Professional Services Consultant and is now heading the UK office. Hundreds of companies in Europe relied on his assistance over the past decade in order to comply with financial regulations but also on his expertise in advising companies on how to implement XBRL technology software.
Mihaela is the Founder and Managing Partner of INNOVA Project Consulting, a sustainable development consultancy company established in 2013. Mihaela has 15 years of business management experience both within public and private organizations. Within INNOVA, Mihaela has coordinated various consultancy contracts regarding the sustainability integration and the realization of Non-Financial and Sustainability Reports according to the GRI – Global Reporting Initiative Standards and EU Directive no. 95/2014 for different important companies in Romania.
Gaetano Casale is the Founder and Managing Partner of INNOVA Project Consulting, a Romanian consultancy company specialized in providing sustainability services. He has an extensive experience in the development of consultancy projects regarding the integration and reporting of sustainability issues in private organizations at international level in different sector of activities. He has also conducted two important research studies: Italians and Sustainable Development (2008) and Sustainability in Private Organizations – the role of HR Manager (2009).
Răzvan Butucaru is a fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and of the Chamber of Financial Auditors of Romania (CAFR).
